- RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mr. Babb’s primary responsibilities include all aspects of architectural and engineering acoustics, audio & video, noise and vibration control. Mr. Babb has been involved with the design of educational facilities, large format theatres, presentation spaces, audio/visual facilities, and worship spaces. He performs analyses, design, recommendations and documentation relating to room acoustics, sound isolation, noise mitigation, community noise control, vibration isolation & mitigation, and audio/visual systems. Mr. Babb’s professional development as an acoustician stems from a background of being a performing musician and a live sound and recording engineer. Mr. Babb also has previous work experience in research and development of prototype systems as well as project management and 3-D computer aided simulation and modeling for a variety of engineering applications relating to mechanical systems and vibration control.

- Presque Isle Large Format Theatre – Presque Isle, Pennsylvania
- 300+ seat Large Format Theatre. Provided architectural acoustic design, sound isolation, and noise & vibration control design services.
- Great Lakes Aquatarium and Discovery World Museum – Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- Children’s science center and museum. Provided architectural acoustics, audio & video, noise and vibration for the entire complex. The facility includes a high definition digital theater, theatrical theater, audio recording studio and TV studio as well as various exhibits and small presentation systems. The high definition digital theater includes capability for high definition satellite video conferencing. The audio and video systems for the facility are interconnected via fiber optic and Ethernet control and data transfer systems.
- CB Jennings School – New London, Connecticut
- Provided architectural acoustic design, sound isolation, and noise & vibration control design services for the entire school. Scope of design included critical areas such as, the media center, combination gym and auditorium, music rooms, classrooms, and mechanical equipment spaces.
- Carbondale Church – Carbondale, Colorado
- 600+ seat Worship Space. Provided architectural acoustic design and mechanical noise & vibration control.
- Central & East High School – Cheyenne, Wyoming
- Provided architectural acoustic design, sound isolation, noise & vibration control and audio & video design services for the school’s competition gymnasium and Central High School natatorium.
- Jefferson County Civic Center – Fairfield, Iowa
- 520+ seat performing arts theatre. Provided 3-d ease modeling and architectural acoustics, audio & video and performance equipment design services
