variety of services to Residential Projects including interior
sound and vibration isolation, environmental noise assessment
and mitigation, mechanical noise and vibration control and
acoustical testing. We can provide practical design recommendations
during the design process (when it is possible to make the
most improvement for the least cost), and during post-construction
remedial work. Recommendations include determining acceptable
Sound Transmission Class (STC), Impact Isolation Class (IIC),
background noise levels, and the design of specific architectural
and mechanical measures for achieving these goals. We can
perform on-site testing of noise, acoustical isolation, and
vibration isolation, both for quality control purposes and
compliance testing. These tests include field STC and IIC
ratings, background noise levels, and environmental noise
surveys. |
